No. 104 As Thy Day

Old Tune, “Blue Bells of Scotland”

Verse 1:
Rejoice in the Lord, when the sky above is bright,
Oh, trust in the dark, and “The Lord shall be thy light;”
In peace, in peace abide, for His word is pledged to thee,
That whate’er betide, “As thy day, thy strength shall be.”

Verse 2:
Fear not, trembling one, for it is your Savior’s will
To guide safely home all who love and trust Him still.
Oh, trust Him for this day, with a heart both light and free,
For the Savior doth say, “As thy day, thy strength shall be.”

Verse 3:
Oh, take from His hand all His gifts of grace and love;
He waiteth to bless, He is watching from above;
With mercy ever new will He guide and comfort thee,
For His promise is true, “As thy day, thy strength shall be.”
